Food Bank Benefit Concert Coordinator

Plan, coordinate, manage and advocate for support of the Church's annual Media Food Bank Benefit concert in the Fall. This event directly supports the Media Food Bank by raising significant funds (historically $1,500-$3,000). Note: this event may be moved to the Spring and may be coordinated with similar Social Justice fundraising events.

Detailed Description: 
The key responsibilities of this role are to: 1) Coordinate with other church activities and the performers to secure a date that will maximize attendance. 2) Recruit volunteers for PR, table set-up, table decoration, hospitality, refreshments, and clean-up. 3) Handle all promotions working with the social communications social justice lead utilizing all relevant communication channels. 4) Recruit and manage donation collection at the event, deposits funds, and arrange for a check to be sent to the Food Bank. The Musicians' Team recruits and schedules the bands for this event from the larger community in an effort to draw visitors in support of the event. They also hire the sound technician who is paid from collected donations.
