We are always delighted to see newcomers to UUCDC at Sunday services

First, you belong here. We are so glad you’ve found our community. We encourage first-time visitors to stop by the Welcome Table set up in the lobby and chat with greeters from the Hospitality Team, who are available to answer questions and provide direction. To better understand who we are and what we believe, please help yourselves to the pamphlets at the table. Also, fill out our digital visitor card to receive information on church services, events, and activities.

We are a congregation that welcomes people of all backgrounds, including those in the LGBTQIA+ community.

What to Expect

On Sunday morning, we gather in the Sanctuary for our regular services at 9:30 or 11:15 a.m. (10 a.m. in summer). There will be music and a chance to sing (if you want to), an offering, a sermon by our minister or guest speaker, a reading or two, and a chance to participate in the stones of Joys and Concerns ritual if you wish. You won’t be asked to stand and identify yourself.

In between our two services, we offer an opportunity to socialize and enjoy coffee and light refreshments in Fellowship Hall. The Hospitality Team, and many others, will be happy to answer your questions and help you get better acquainted with UUCDC. Feel free to ask for a tour of our building.

For more details, please see the Attending Sunday Services section under Our Worship.

What To Wear

For our Sunday morning services, wear whatever is comfortable for you. Some people choose nice casual clothes. Some are happier wearing jeans. Please dress with respect for others. We want you to be free to pay attention to the message of the morning and the people around you without worrying about your clothes. We ask that you do not wear perfumes or scented lotions and that you turn off your mobile phone.

Directions, Parking and Accessibility

We are located at 145 W. Rose Tree Road in Media, PA 19063, just off PA Route 252 and the Route 1 Media Bypass. There is a parking lot in front of the church. Our building is fully accessible for those with mobility challenges and other disabilities. For more information, see the Directions and Accessibility pages.
