W is for Worship
Weekly worship is a key part of our UU faith community. In fact, holding “regular religious services” is one of only three requirements for a church to be a certified member of the UUA.
While worship in some faith traditions involves reverence of a particular deity, UU worship is broader. We come together to grow and foster connections with one another–to share our joys and concerns, to mourn and celebrate, and to have a communal experience of meaning. For some UUs, worship also provides a chance to deepen our connection with a spiritual element or the divine. Worship can make us laugh, cry, think, question, and wonder.
