At UUCDC, we encourage generosity as a way of life. 

Giving your time, talent, and treasure not only enriches others—it enriches yourself. 

This includes donating money to fund our church’s annual operating budget, endowment, special funds to support efforts such as social justice advocacy, worthy community organizations with which we partner, and other priorities.

Annual Pledge Drive

The primary way to contribute is to make a pledge during the annual fund drive. Collectively, pledges paid by the UUCDC church community make up over 80 percent of the income received by the church to fund salaries, the mortgage, utilities, Religious Education (RE), and more. 

One easy way to ensure you meet your pledge is to set up recurring payments through Breeze (logon and look under the More menu). 

Giving Via Text

Another simple way to give during Sunday services or at any time is via text to 610-756-8883 using a credit or debit card.

To give this way, text the amount in for format “$XX” along with one of these keywords: PLEDGE to apply to your pledge payments; STP for Share the Plate; PLATE for weekly plate cash; or MDF for the Minister’s Discretionary Fund. For example, “$25 STP” would give $25 towards our Share the Plate contribution to a partner organization for that month. (If you haven’t previously set up a payment method, you will receive a text prompting you to enter it.)

Donations via Check or via Bank Bill Pay

We want to make sure that your donation goes into the fund that you intended. When making a donation via a handwritten check, please use the following key to write your donation intention in the memo field. When making a donation via your bank’s bill pay system, please use the following key to write your donation intention in the account field:

  • Pledge Payment
  • Share the Plate
  • Social Justice
  • Plate Collection
  • Memorial Garden
  • Endowment 
  • Minister’s Discretion Fund
  • Greatest Need

**Donations received between the 1st and 31st labeled as STP will be donated to that month’s recipient.

Other Ways to Give

Also, consider creating a legacy for yourself or your family by contributing from a stock sale, IRA distribution, or a directed fund. Or, when planning your estate, include UUCDC in your will. UUCDC is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.All funds will be managed with complete transparency with information available via Congregational Meetings, special mailings and church communication channels. Upon request, any member will have access to the current status of funds as well as any pending decisions on disbursements from them.
