  • Saturday: Connecting Threads Quilt Group
The Connecting Threads Quilt Group will meet on this Saturday, April 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel: Owl’s Nest. It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced seams-person or new to the craft, all are welcome. We need people who are willing to iron, cut, and sew straight lines with master quilters guiding members through every step. The main activity of the group is to create quilts for the church’s graduating high school seniors, which receive them at their annual bridging ceremony in June. The quilters also create quilts for children up to two years old who are welcomed into the church and to the winner of the church’s NAACP scholarship. To join or for more information, contact the group coordinator.
