The Building and Property Committee oversees maintenance of our beloved property and church.

Our intention is to take as good care of this special place as we do our own homes. When things need to be maintained or repaired, we harness the resources (volunteer or paid) to get the job done. We organize church volunteers with various talents to keep our building (and grounds) in order. When a project is out of our scope of skills, we are responsible for vetting, hiring, and managing outside vendors.

Periodically, we come together to clean up and fix what needs to be attended. Our most recent work day was Saturday, October 21st, 2023. We thank the more than 20 people who came out and supported the Building and Property and the Memorial Garden committees to:

  • Prune trees and bushes, clean up the landscape, spread topsoil and grass seed
  • Repair downspouts, deck spindles, and clean drains
  • Clean windows inside and out
  • Recycle electronic equipment
  • Assess electrical issues.

We accomplished a lot and there is more to do. Folks enjoyed the event so much that several suggested we do it more often—we will. Watch this page or Connections for announcements of future clean-up events.
