Adult UUCDC congregants on their on-going search for faith and meaning are enriched by our Soul Matters Religious Education (RE) program.

Soul Matters organizes small circles of congregants to meet and share about thought-provoking topics, through exercises, questions, and resources. Our overarching frame is also a way for us to connect to our new UU core value of Liberating Love, with each of our monthly themes framed as a practice that help us embody liberating love in our daily lives. It encompasses these ten UU values and explores their potential to shape us and, in turn, shape our world:

The Practice of…

September:  Invitation
October:  Deep Listening
November:  Repair
December:  Presence
January:  Story
February: Inclusion
March:  Trust
April: Joy
May:  Imagination
June:  Freedom

Groups meet monthly (except for summer) at the church, via Zoom, or a combination of both, for two hours in the afternoon or evening. The church provides rich resource packets for the themes, which are sometimes also reflected in our worship services and in the RE curriculum for our children and youth. Existing circles start in September; new ones typically begin in October or February. Register online here. To sign up or for more information, contact the Soul Matters coordinators.

Soul Matters is a great way to engage with others from the church and to learn more about your spirituality and yourself.
