Music
At Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County (UUCDC), music fills the Sanctuary, inspires congregants’ minds, and fuels their hearts.
Music is an essential part of Sunday services, where live music is often featured. On two Sundays per month, the choir of about 18 members sings. It also participates in two Worship Through Music Sundays per year, when the bulk of the services are musical selections. Special music is offered around the holidays. Additionally, in the 2023–2024 church year, talented musicians Gabby Sacks and Jeff LaBonde will perform on non-choir Sundays.
Occasional music events are arranged by groups within the church community. We also host community groups, expanding the diversity of music and artistic expression in our building.
We always welcome new members to the music program. The choir is open to anyone who wishes to sing in a four-part ensemble; tryouts aren’t required. Practices are at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays.
