Adults are invited to explore their personal faith and learn something new through our Adult Faith Formation Classes.
Courses are added throughout the year, so please check back regularly and pay attention to the Connections e-newsletter for the latest updates.
We are always looking for volunteers to teach or facilitate faith formation classes. Please let Chrissy know if you’re interested in this.

No prior experience or supplies needed, but if you have your own cards please bring them.
Chrissy Bushyager and Lisa Jacobs will lead this workshop and share their experiences with Tarot practice.
In person at UUCDC April 26 from 9-12. Register here.
Starting Point
Starting Point is a unique program designed to provide newcomers and long-timers with the opportunity to experience Unitarian Universalism rather than just hearing about it. We will focus on our personal spiritual journeys and the historical journey of Unitarian Universalism and UUCDC as well as the shared journey that we travel together which includes listening to one’s deepest self, opening to life’s gifts, and serving needs greater than our own.
Our Next Session of Starting Point will be Saturday April 5 from 9-12. Register here.
Turning Points in UU History
This six-session series is an exploration of turning points and controversies in our Unitarian Universalist history. Through videos, texts and compelling conversation, we will learn how these moments shaped Unitarian Universalism and our faith practices today. Facilitated by Mark Bernstein, each 75-minute session reflects on the sides involved in the controversy, inviting you to put yourself in the shoes of those who lived through it. In this course, our UU history will come alive and enable you to gain a greater understanding and appreciation of who we are as Unitarian Universalists and the journey our predecessors traveled to arrive at this moment.
This class is offered in two formats:
In person at UUCDC from 1:00-2:15 pm on March 20, 27, April 3, 10, 17, 24
Virtual on Zoom from 7:00 – 8:15 pm on March 18, 25 April 1, 8, 15, 22
UUCDC Poetry Jam
You are invited to a monthly gathering to write and share poetry. All are welcome, from beginners to published poets! This will be a safe, supportive environment where we can help each other grow. Our best work comes straight from our hearts.
Sheila Fox, member of the Mad Poets Society, will facilitate the group. She has been writing poetry all her life and is currently working on a poetry chapbook. She believes that everyone can be a poet!
This open-enrollment group will meet in person on the 2nd Friday of the month from 1-2:30 pm beginning January 10. Register here.
