What does it mean for UUCDC to be a “Welcoming Congregation?”

It means we provide a safe and affirming sanctuary in which we celebrate, dignify, and support the spiritual needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. We are committed to encouraging its members and supporters to take part in all aspects of congregational life, including Religious Education (RE) for our children and youth. We celebrate the diversity of our congregants by using inclusive language and content in all our programs. We uphold all loving relationships, affirm marriage equality, and conduct same-sex weddings. By putting our principles into action, we advocate and provide outreach to the larger LGBTQIA+ community.
