Building a Beloved Community

This Sunday, January 14, we will participate in meaningful worship, with breakout sessions centering on the theme of “Building a Beloved Community” in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Activities will include a pop-up choir, making snack bags for homebound, homeless and hungry people in the greater Philadelphia area, a teaching session by our 5th and 6th graders on the environmentally-friendly use of paper towels, and for Lego and building block lovers (little and big alike), a block building session. Please bring items for the Media Food Bank Clothing Closet and non-perishable food for the collection box. This is a multigenerational service, and there will be no religious education class. We look forward to seeing you at the 9:30 or 11:15 a.m. service.

The YUUCKIs will be hosting a soup lunch after both services on Sunday. (Hot soup is so good on a cold winter day.) Enjoy it here or get a bowl of soup to go. Only $5 per person or $20 for a family.

Coffee will be served between services. First services are recorded by our Audio-Visual Team and posted on the UUCDC website.
