Help hungry neighbors by supporting the Media Food Bank
The Media Food Bank at First Church, 350 West State Street in Media, has been operating since 1995. The food bank supports 55,650 Delaware County residents who are food insecure, including 20,920 children. Since 2008, UUCDC has been supplying food and financial support throughout the year. Church members on the Media Food Bank Team shop for and donate 150 pounds of fresh produce every Thursday morning. Other congregants donate additional food and personal-care supplies by placing items in the wooden collection box in the church lobby. Congregants also participate in the coat and winter clothing drive and other special events throughout the year to support the food bank.
