Listening and Being Heard
Buddha believed that how we speak to others was so important that he included principles for speaking into his basic teachings. The teachings of Jesus have many references to how we speak and act toward others. The Golden Rule, found in many religious traditions, encourages us to treat others as we wish to be treated. At the heart of how we treat others is the act of listening. Truly listening and being heard is at the core of the life of a congregation. This Sunday, January 28, Rev. Ed Brock will expand upon this point.
