Soul Matters logoAdult UUCDC congregants on their on-going search for faith and meaning are enriched by our Soul Matters program.

Soul Matters organizes small circles of congregants to meet and share about thought-provoking topics, through exercises, questions, and resources. The monthly themes are also used in Worship, Religious Education, and Youth Group, facilitating conversations and experiences across generations.

This year the Soul Matters themes are organized around the question: How do we, as Unitarian Universalists, meet this moment in history?

Meeting the Moment by…

September:  Building Belonging
October:  Cultivating Compassion
November:  Nurturing Gratitude
December:  Choosing Hope
January:  Practicing Resistance
February: Embodying Resilience
March:  Paying Attention
April: Embracing Possibility
May:  Awakening Curiosity
June:  Flourishing Together

Groups meet monthly (except for summer) at the church, via Zoom, or a combination of both, for two hours in the afternoon or evening. The church provides rich resource packets for the themes, which are sometimes also reflected in our worship services and in the RE curriculum for our children and youth. Existing circles start in September; new ones typically begin in October or February.
