Adults are invited to explore their personal faith and learn something new through our Adult Faith Formation Classes.

Courses are added throughout the year, so please check back regularly and pay attention to the Connections e-newsletter for the latest updates.

We are always looking for volunteers to teach or facilitate faith formation classes. Please let Chrissy know if you’re interested in this.

Spanish Conversation Group

Venga UUsted!
Let’s build on our Spanish language skills together in this fun conversational group which strives to break barriers and build community. We’ll discuss current issues related to migrant justice, Latinx culture in the US and abroad as well as swap stories about our own lives and/or our favorite recipes, short poems, articles, podcasts, art etc.
Join other Spanish speakers/learners for a conversation practice. This is not a beginner class. Participants should be able to string together ideas in conversation.

The group will be led by Liz McDyer and Kat Smith and meet on the first Wednesday of the month from 6:30 – 8 pm in the McClennen room.

UUCDC Poetry Jam

You are invited to a monthly gathering to write and share poetry. All are welcome, from beginners to published poets! This will be a safe, supportive environment where we can help each other grow. Our best work comes straight from our hearts.

Sheila Fox, member of the Mad Poets Society, will facilitate the group. She has been writing poetry all her life and is currently working on a poetry chapbook. She believes that everyone can be a poet!

This open-enrollment group meets in person on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month from 1-2:30 pm.  Register here.
