We Live in Scary Times – and Here is What We Can Do In Response
Thomas Paine’s statement that ‘these are the times that try (people’s) souls” seems to be written for the month of January 2025. Someone said ‘I would like to cancel my subscription to 2025.’ The current political climate has put many people on edge, with feelings ranging from alarm to despair. However, we must avoid despair and the feeling that there is nothing we can do. We must become aware of ways we can effectively respond to and seize opportunities that this new political climate affords us. Sunday, January 26, Reverend Ed will talk about what we can do now to respond to the temper of our times, and might also give his Super Bowl prediction. This Sunday’s service will also be a New Member Recognition Sunday.
In-person worship services are held in the Sanctuary at 9:30am and 11:15am. The 9:30 service is also available via Zoom with an online order of service. All are welcome.
