When the Need Arose, A Community Stood Up
In the midst, of COVID, a woman in Upper Darby began collecting food and distributing it in her backyard to people in need. Five years on, Murphy’s Giving Market in Upper Darby has grown from backyard to store front, from addressing hunger to an array of community needs. How did this occur in DELCO’s most culturally, ethnically, and religiously diverse community? Desiree Murphy Morrisey is a community leader in Upper Darby and founder and CEO of Murphy’s Giving Market.
In-person worship services are held in the Sanctuary at 10am. The service is also available via Zoom. All are welcome.
