Noticing Our Shared Values

One way that families can learn about the proposed new shared values (Love, Justice, Equity, Transformation, Pluralism, Interdependence, and Generosity) is by noticing them in bedtime stories. So many picture books have several of these values embedded into the stories and it can be fun to talk with kids about what you notice in the stories that you read. This week we don’t have regular RE classes but I will be leading a mixed-age lesson for our preschool-4th graders and we will look for the shared values in one of my favorite picture books and spend some time playing and exploring the values in other ways too.
